The Graham Gavin Show
I got involved with MDFR after Nat had the idea for a dementia friendly radio. Nat’s mum, Gina, had Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia. She was a keen campaigner for a number of issues including the Alzheimer’s Society, I guess that’s where Nat got his determination from.
If my wife was able to tell me what I should play on playlist day it would be an hour of Metallica / Free/Tommy Steele and David Devant!
On my usual programme I play music from the 60’s and 70’s pop and soul/ Motown etc. that’s not what I listen to at home, I’m more of a folk/ jazz fan.
My favourite musical experience was playing drums in a reggae band in the concert room in St George’s hall, the concert room has an amazing sound.
The first album I bought was Rubber Soul. My favourite album that I bought from the 70’s was the band’s Brown album.
I’m not a biscuit fan but I wouldn’t say no to a Tunnock’s tea cake!
